My milkshake brings all the vegan boys to the yard

So watching yourself on camera is a really weird sensation.. you pick up on all your little idiosyncrasies and habits that you didn’t even know existed. It’s become a bit of a joke with my friends now that I say almost everything I eat is ‘soooo good’ haha. You are totally not aware of habits like that until you watch yourself on camera!

I’m really starting to enjoy it though and I feel liberated by it. For so long I’ve been feeling blocked creatively. I’ve talked about the idea of making youtube videos for over a year now… but haven’t actually done anything about it because I’ve been waiting to be inspired! Then, someone very wise told me I had to inspire myself, I had to push myself… if not now, when? How many more excuses could I find to put it off even longer? So, he gave me the push I needed to just do it! And I feel amazing for it!! So, I guess now, I’m here to push you… give you the (not so) gentle little nudge you need to go out and do the thing you’re passionate about, without letting that voice creep in and fill your mind with doubt. You have the power to do whatever you want to do! You’re in charge!

That’s probably enough rambling for now… Let’s get into the cookies and milk!

This recipe is dairy free/peanut free/gluten free/refined sugar free/soy free and can be 100% nut free! I have substituted the almond flour for oat flour, and with a little tinkering.. I’ve nailed it. So here you go, I present to you… my 2nd proper youtube video! (you can find the full recipe and ingredients below)

These cookies are soooo good 😉 there’s a snap to them, rather than being super fluffy.. so it depends what kind of cookie or biscuit you’re into! These ones are perfect for dipping in a cup of coffee or tea… or enjoying alongside my protein smoothie.

Cacao Tahini Cookies (can make 14 cookies, but you’ll probably eat the dough as you go!)

TIP: speed really is your friend here, as the coconut flour continues to absorb any liquid in the dough while you’re rolling it out. You can add a splash more oat milk if you’re having difficulties with it falling apart.

Cacao Protein Smoothie

smoothie   **you can use less milk & more water if desired

This cookie and milk combo is jam-packed full of protein, healthy fats and carbs. All easily processed by your body, and tasty too! I don’t think it gets much better than that?!

Hope you try it out and love it as much as I do. I’m just sitting down to a cookie and a nice cuppa right now… bliss!
